Where are the fireworks and twinkly lights??

It is flipping FREEZING!! Well, actually it's not, by English standards; i'm not actually cold enough to wear a coat and gloves, but by Auckland standards, i am COLD. Which leads me on to feeling like it should be almost Christmas, or bonfire night.....but it's not :( So i thought i'd amuse myself on this cold christmassy wednesday by getting some old christmas photos out of the archive - not very old i grant you, but they are 2 and a half years old, taken a few days before we left England (oh gosh, i may start depressing myself all over again now!) Didn't even find that many photos, but found a funny one of Orran and Leah which reminds me of Christmas time. Awwww, i can't quite believe i've been here 2 and a half years in a few days. Crazy. I could start delving into how i feel about that but it's all rather complicated and i would probably start crying a lot.

We are, however, having a mid-winter Christmas on June 24th at Paddie's. Being Irish she misses all the twinkly lights and having a cold Christmas too, so we're going to have a big proper dinner and a secret santa and carols and mice pies and the works, hoorah!

And look at that baby up on all fours! Heidi will be crawling in no time, methinks. She's already started helping herself to a second breakfast in the mornings by scooting under the breakfast table and eating old Rice Crispies. She's not actually crawling but yet managing to be all over the house anyway.

I am officially SICK of Moro bars. I owe the fundraising box $8 - that's 8 Moro bars in a week, how revolting. Well it IS Christmas, everyone over-indulges at Christmas!

I'm going to a talk at kindy tonight about making the transition to school - should be interesting. So far haven't bought any of the things leah needs for school and i'm slightly worried that every weekend between now and the 19th June is actually booked up with stuff i can't get out of to go shopping. I've sent out the invites for Leah and Jenna's dinosaur party, i think we've about 12 coming which will be plenty, thank you very much. We had a great time yesterday making glittery dinosaur egg invitations; i'm actually quite excited about the whole party thing having never done a proper one for any of them.

Anyhoo, love to you all, especially Emma and the boys - hope you're better now and no longer going stir-crazy :) xxx
