disco fever part 2
The disco (............hang on, i want to write plural of disco.....is it discoes??? ) .....well, all the disco-ing is over! The kindy disco was manic but enjoyable, and i did my little compere job very well i thought and i didn't get tongue-tied or anything :) Not sure how much money we raised but it seemed to be quite successful. The only downside, and it's a fairly big one, is that someone dinged our car in the carpark and didn't own up, which is a royal pain especially as we're trying to trade it in on a 7 seater at the minute and it's severely decreased it's value. Adrian is very upset, to say the least.
The 70's party was last night, and it was soooo funny. Paddie and i had gone to the costume hire place on thursday and hired outfits; i hired some sparkly satin emerald green flares and, as you can see, wore my wig and poncho, and i was pretty chuffed with my outfit. The thing was, when we arrived at the party in all our 70s finery; we realised that everyone else had gone for pretty normal party clothes maybe with a novelty sequinned belt or hat or wig or something; we were by far the most overdressed people at the party; including the hostess whose 70's dress up party it was!!!! Needless to say we proceeded to get as drunk as we could very quickly to remove some of the embarassment of it and did lots of mad dancing and had a great time. This morning i keep chuckling to myself; it was like a really funny bad dream!
And despite my suffering this morning, i even got up in time today (6.45am) to switch on the telly for the Egland vs Portugal match in time to hear the completely unsuprising news that, yet again, England lost a game on a penalty shoot out. Very disappointing, although it was a short-lived disappointment as i got to watch France beat Brazil whilst being served a full fry up and lots of cups of tea and paracetamol :) I do love my husband :) And France to win, i say!!
anyhoo, life is pretty quiet on the Bergman front at present, and there's not that much to write about. It's winter holidays for 2 weeks now; it's been 19 degrees today and we've been in shorts and tshirts down the beach in Orewa eating picnics and ice creams. Winter in Auckland is on the whole very nice; i can definitely cope with this!!
Vicki...thinking of you honey, hope everything's going ok.
Lots of love to all, will leave you with some mad photos of last night......from top to bottom....me and darren ( sheryl's husband).....Paddie and i feeling very overdressed but too drunk too care........and Paddie, Katie, Sheryl and I xxxx
