VHC

Well, we managed to fashion a rudimentary caterpillar suit and i was actually quite impressed, in my own humble opinion :) I blew up green balloons inside some sheer tights and then sewed the whole thing onto a green tshirt, made some antenna from pipecleaners and a hairband and painted her face. She looked so funny - Heidi was a bit freaked out i think - she wouldn't go near her!

Everyone else was dressed as a princess or Darth Vader at school and i think she felt a bit shy, but she got over it quick enough and she was by far the most original and creative outfit there, again, in my own very humble opinion!! Sadly there was no-one waiting there to award me a spa weekend for being the most creative outfit-maker . Criminal.

After posting about the Gladiators the other day i was quite fired up and started hoovering whilst rather energetically singing "Are yoooou a glad - eee - a - tooooooooor" and actually broke the hose off the hoover in the process. Clearly i should BE a gladiator with my raw strength and natural singing ability.

In complete contrast to my dreams of gorging myself on French Fancies, i have started running again. It began the other night after a particularly stressful day with the children, and i thought instead of taking it out on them i would take it out on the pavement, so i went for a 3km run (up a hill, people!) and really enjoyed it, so have carried it on and am really enjoying it again. While i'm running i do tend towards delusions of grandeur and think myself capable of running a marathon in the distant future. I'd LOVE to do it, i would say it is one of my dreams and i reckon i have the stamina for it if i trained hard enough, but i'm not sure i can fit that much training into my lifestyle at the minute. Most of you know i am also prone to procrastinating as well so i wouldn't pay too much attention to this paragraph. The seeds are sown in my head though and i do want to find a way i could maybe do the Rotorua marathon in April...........

Right, we're off to music now, i'll leave you with a pic of my Very Hungry Caterpillar :) xxxxxx

ps; not sure if we're moving tomorrow (still haven't done anything and kinda hoping little pixies will come in the night and shove stuff in boxes for me) but if we are then i might not be around for a few days while we reconnect and stuff. Miss you all already!
