Devonport
Had another of our lovely Sunday outings, this time to Devonport on the North Shore, where we went up to the old army lookout that was used in WW2, which was really interesting, then we had fush and chups on the beach. It's been a gorgeously sunny, albeit very windy day. Feeling rather hungover and seedy (again!) today as we had Paddie and Daz and the twins over for a BBQ yesterday afternoon and then we had an impromptu girls night out, which involved me falling over rather spectacularly and cutting my knee and elbow; the pair of us singing Kylie and Jason very loudly along Pakuranga Highway, and culminated in me waking up in bed fully dressed in jeans and jumper this morning. Fab. I love being 26.
Had my hair done yesterday in the salon that Claire had her hair done when she was visiting this time last year. Halfway through my appointment, the girl who was colouring my hair asked " Was your sister's name Claire?" Turns out she remembered her exactly from when she cut Claire's hair and she was saying "And you have 3 little girls, and 2 brothers at home in England, and your sister had come out for a visit and was so pleased because her haircut was so cheap" . It was rather freaky how much she remembered from a year ago! Very pleased with my hair and have gone very light blonde - i feel very summery now :)
Anyhoo, here's us today just about getting blown off the cliff!
