I've been a very slack blogger of late...my apologies. We haven't really been doing anything of consequence so there's been nothing to blog about! Weather continues to be fantastic which is good. Heidi's walking is rapidly turning into running away, accompanied by little shouts of "no! no! no!" and a wicked little laugh. Luckily i am a toddler veteran and there's not much she can throw at me that her sisters haven't already!
This morning we were up at the crack of dawn and out down to Mission Bay to watch The Queen Mary 2 cruiseliner sail into Auckland. We thought there might be us and a few other anoraks at 6.45am, but there were thousands of Aucklanders and not a car park to be seen. It was very spectacular and absolutely massive, and now Adrian and i have added cruising around the world to our list of things to do when the children leave home.
Check out NZ Herald for better pics and all the info.
Then we came home and Adrian barbequed us a fry up, so we're fat, full up and have been entertained and it's only 9.47am. This afternoon Adrian is playing a gig in West Auckland so we're taking a picnic dinner and meeting up with a load of friends. It's shaping up to be a good weekend. Although i could possibly do with going back to bed!

you're not the only anorak,it runs in the family! i took the camera to work today because there was a steam train (it's called Tangmere after the airport) going past the factory at about 9, so i thought i would get some piccies, it's not something that happens all the time, and i didn't get any piccies cause it was going so fast i think he made it to Bristol before 10, he must have had ol' nick after him he was going so quick, i think i'll take up watching boats instead!!! lol dad xxx
