Happy Birthday Richard!

Well, got the phonecall from the holidaymakers, currently swanning themselves on a beach in Langkawi. Jealous, moi??! Flight was smooth and all is well, Chris was in the pool when i rang and they all said it is VERY hot. Ha ha, they're going to want to get right back on that plane when they arrive in Auckland!!!

Just watched a rather disturbing documentary about toxins in the home, in cosmetics and pretty much everywhere you can think of - we're all screwed and i'm a bit scared to breathe in now, or brush my teeth, or turn the dishwasher on. Hmmmm. Stupid scary documentary.

Adrian is out rehearsing tonight, the girls have all just settled down after storytime - i must say that i love that they're at an age where i can read Roald Dahl to them - they both LOVE The Enormous Crocodile and it's fun to read to them....roll on a bit of Enid Blyton so i can use my poshest boarding-schooly voice and say things like "oh golly" :)

Thinking of shelving Christening cake idea completely....i did a small survey of a few people coming to the christening and 2 of them didn't like fruit cake and the other doesn't like marzipan ( freaks! Who could not like marzipan??! ) And as i am not anticipating having time to do it on the day using a sponge cake, it remains to be seen whether or not i get round to it. Maybe mother will have some good plans when she gets here. Just PRAYING for good weather or it's going to basically be a big case of serious sardines in my lounge - in that case i think i'd probably point everyone in the direction of the nearest pub!

Anyhooooooo....enough rambling for one night. With regard to the above ( very old, was only 18!) photo, i have to say a HUUUUUGE Happy Birthday to my fabbest friend, Bromley-by-Bow flatmate, Volume One workmate, fellow Tiffany-loving, ex-clubbing partner in crime, general all round lovely guy, Richard. Happy 25th baby, blowing huge birthday kisses your way - Love you heaps :) xxx
