Massage, cocktails and schoolbooks
Did my first day of my second massage course today; it was heaps better than the first weekend, i knew what i was doing a bit more and it wasn't quite so overwhelming, although it was still really tiring. We concentrated on using deeper strokes and incorporating your own elbows and forearms into deep massage strokes and a neck, shoulder and head massage. Basically you pair up with a partner, the tutor does a demonstration and then you go off and practise on each other and the tutor walks around and helps and directs. She came over to help the girl who was massaging me and went to show her how to do the head massage, and oh MY, she nearly put me through the table it hurt so much! All these tutors are masseurs for all the big rugby teams and used to applying heaps of pressure on these big huge guys, then they come along and use the same pressure on little old me! So am consequently feeling very sore this evening. Oh, and the guitar player from the band Opshop was in my class - Carly might know who i'm talking about but it probably means nothing to most of you; it meant very little to me other than i knew the name and i had to ask Adrian who Opshop were.
Adrian and Morph have gone out to a cocktail evening at Emma and Lee's tonight; a real dress up do as a housewarming party. I would have loved to have gone but as usual we've no babysitter. So i'm sitting half watching Once Were Warriors on tv - only half watching cos it'll depress me if i get too into it just before bedtime!
Heidi's not well AGAIN; this time a viral infection that's bought her out in spots all over her little body; she's grumpy and snotty but otherwise ok. And she has another tooth already - they're so cute!
Leah is very excited by the prospect of going to The Warehouse with Adrian one night next week to get all her schoolbooks, she's counting down the sleeps and she's made me write her a list she can take and made me promise that i'll stay home and look after Jenna and Heidi and that it's just her and daddy going because....... " daddy was a schoolboy in New Zealand, mum, and he knows the right books to get for school" :)
Dinosaur party plans going well, it's proving easy to find dinosaury type things to set the theme. Bit worried as i honestly thought i had about 3 weeks or more until the party, but no; it's 2 weeks today and i am just so busy pretty much every day up till then, leaving me very little time to even breathe, let alone plan a party for 17 three and five year olds, eeeeeeekk!!!!
Sending you lots of love xxx
