Can i borrow someone's oven??!!!

Arrrggghh, party CRISIS!!!! My oven is broken!!! Thank heavens i made all the cakes and cookies and quiches in advance, but i've just made a beautiful marble cake mixture and put it in the oven and it's been in there for an hour and a half and it's still liquid and the oven feels just warm, i don't burn my hand if i touch the oven tray. DISASTER!!! Ah well, these things are sent to try us, i guess. I really could do without being tried this week though, please, whoever did send this particular incident to try me! I have instructed adrian to go and get me a shop bought sponge and will have to work with that instead, so i'm not actually tooooo panicked. But a bummer that the oven is broken, means i can't just feed everyone fish fingers for tea, i actually have to MAKE something!

Sheryl came over before and whisked the girls away to play with her boys for the afternoon, and Heidi's in bed, so it's all quiet and i've been busy icing cakes and cookies as you can see, i'm having so much fun!! I do love parties :) Except somehow i have icing in my hair.......??

We went to music group this morning and Heidi just loved it; she was shouting "ba ba baa baaa BAAA" at the top of her little voice and crawling around being charming to all the mums; my little socialite!

I forgot to mention that some good friends of ours in Auckland, James and Charles, have had their third baby last week, a 6lb 9oz little boy, and i think the've called him Felix; we went to see them on monday and he's sooooo gorgeous and very scrummy and tiny.

Anyhoo, until next time......send me some oven-fixing vibes everyone! Off to eat something nutritious now, forgot to eat breakfast in my rush to get to the shops and have worked past lunch and just nibbled on jellies and icing and now feeling a wee bit sick! xxx
