Isn't she growing so fast? This was yesterday in her Jolly Jumper which she enjoyed....until of COURSE the big two came along and tried to 'help' ....pushing her in the swing! I guess it'll be a thing that comes out when the others aren't around from now on!

Training update - managed my 2km run easily yesterday. I was up with the birds, went for my run in the early morning sun which was gorgeous, and recovered really quickly so i may try and push myself on for a bit more this week. The it was back home to breastfeed Heidi and get the girls dressed, have a shower, eat breakfast and then go to 8.30 mass. I felt like WonderWoman, getting all that done!! Not sustainable unfortunately. This morning i did all my usual monday morning things, we were ready to go out the door at a reasonable time and was feeling quite proud of myself walking down the driveway, until i looked down and realised i had actually left Heidi indoors!!! Oooops. Serves me right for being smug about wearing my WonderWoman cape the day before. I'm just so glad i realised then and not halfway to kindy - what a shocking mother i am. Sometimes there just seem to be children everywhere that i forget how many i actually have; i'm sure my parents empathise with that!

This week i am trying out something new. I've got this book out of the library called Destitute Gourmet, it's all about eating well on a tight budget. We've been trying to get our fortnightly shopping bill down for ages without success, and this woman claims that you can eat well feeding a family of 5 for about $90 a week. At the minute we pay about $220 a fortnight and always end up with not enough to see us through the last few days until payday. So, i am embracing the new plan and tonight i am making - yes MAKING - my own pasta as apparently it's one of the cheapest meals you can make at around 50c. It remains to be seen whether or not it gets binned and i crack open a can of beans....watch this space!

Today's training is a swim when adrian gets home as i have bought a new swimming costume today. I tried to buy one yesterday and got told in two major department stores "sorry, we only stock swimwear in the summer" Like, it's nearly 30 degrees outside, what season would you call this???

I was a little concerned though yesterday reading the waiver on the application form for the triathlon....." I acknowledge that competitive triathlon involves the real risk of serious injury or even death from various causes including overexertion, equipment failure, dehydration, acciddents with other competitors, spectators or road users, course or weather conditions and other causes" Cheery!!

And i was daydreaming last night whilst i was on the internet, wondering if i'd be able to do the Auckland marathon - wouldn't that be something?? I'm going to keep my sights set on this first but if it goes well then i might think seriously about the half marathon in October. I just think it would be such a cool thing to do and i'd love to run over the harbour bridge with 7000 other people, it would be such a buzz.

Anyway, i'll put that dream on hold for now and concentrate on trying to run 3km, let alone 22km or whatever the half marathon is! Love all around, and hello to Cathy - your message made me all teary, thank you! Hope you're all enjoying being back in France; give my love to Laura and Emily xxx
