Airborne!

I am LITERALLY bursting with excitement! I just keep getting enormous waves of "eeeeehs" and "ooooooohs" and squeezing the life out of the kids because i'm just so over-the-top, completely mentally EXCITED!!!! I checked the live flight info from the Heathrow Airport site as i have inherited my father's gene of needing to know exactly where my family are at any given time when flying, and they are officially airborne and on their way, woo hoooooooooooo!

Hmmm, can't really type for long as we're due at Leah's first school visit this morning so i think i should probably get dressed and dry my hair to make a semblance of a good impression. Trying my hand at making a christening cake later on, with actual marzipan and icing and stuff.......it SOUNDS easy enough, but knowing my baking skills it could end up to be a colossal waste of ingredients.....we shall see. oh, ewww! talking about baking, i've just remembered what it was i wanted to share with you - possibly THE most revolting recipe i've ever heard of. I got a book from the library full of muffin recipes, and i'm flicking through looking at the yummy sounding capuccino choc muffins......mixed berry muffins......banana choc muffins........mussel muffins.......

Like, EWWWWWWW! And seriously, this recipe had mussels, oats and oranges in it. I do not know anyone ( apart from my husband who eats anything.....except cucumber skin of all things!) who has liked the sound of it so far........hands up if you'd eat a slimy mussel and orange muffin .......

Anyhoo, kids are dressed and ready and i'm being a slack mother so i really had better get going. Get well soon Orran, sending big cuddles! xxx
