A bit freaked out
Evening all.
I'm trembling typing this because the Police just came round to the house. I'm on my own tonight and being a bit of a wuss, am jumpy anyway. So when someone knocks hard on the door at 9pm, i'm practically terrified(!) I put the chain on and called through the door to ask who it was, then opened it up and the Police are on the doorstep asking if so and so lives here, as he's jumped bail. They showed me a picture of a big Maori guy who they think has given this address as his. Grrrrrrreat. I was frightened for a while but then logic would presume that if he's given them this address falsely, he would be a bit of a twit to actually turn up here. She hopes.
Just watching a programme about brighton at the minute, adding to my already heightened homesickness today. I even phoned Flight Centre to see how much a 2 week holiday home would be - at over $3000 just for myself, it was a nice little lunchtime daydream. Ho hum. And then i realised i still wouldn't be able to get back into NZ on my return as my visa isn't sorted yet. Although again, someone tell me why that's a bad thing??!!
Adrian's parents bought us up a little TV when they came to visit yesterday, and Adrian has put it in the kitchen for me :) It meant tonight we all had individual chicken and leek pies (with lattice tops) and made from scratch pastry cos i was busy enjoying Martha Stewart, Gordon Ramsay, Neighbours and Friends - i can see me spending a lot more time in the kitchen - just a shame there's no decent morning tv.
No photos tonight; i meant to take one of heidi asleep in her highchair but do you think i could find the camera? I found it in Jenna's bed; turns out she was taking photos of her eyes!
Well , i'm off to be paranoid in bed and jump at every strange noise...........
