I hate moving >(

Well i worked out that this is the TENTH time we have moved in the 6 years that Adrian and i have been together. You'd think, wouldn't you, that i'd have moving and packing down to a fine art by now? Nope, the more we move, the more i am of the opinion that stuff flung into any old box will do just as well as me spending an entire week nicely placing things in labelled boxes. And besides, with 3 small people undoing all the packing behind me, it really isn't worth it.

The moral of this story is be careful what you wish for, i think. I spent my entire childhood and teenage years hoping fervently that we might move someday ( not because i didn't like our house, just because moving seemed like an exciting thing to do!). Now i am married to a man who thinks there is no greater joy on earth than to move house every year, sometimes even twice a year. What fun.

I should be going to get my glasses today - at LAST. Seriously, i broke one arm last year just after i had Heidi, and the other arm followed suit shortly after (that's the arm off the glasses, not mine, just to clarify!) and since then i have been watching tv with these armless glasses perched on my nose. The problem is of course that i have to sit incredibly still so they don't fall off. The number of times i've sneezed and they've flown off in some direction and then i miss what i'm watching because i'm fumbling around under the sofa for my broken glasses. The other option is to watch tv with my prescription sunglasses which aren't broken, but Adrian laughs at me because i'm lying in bed watching tv with nothing but my sunglasses on!

I'd like to blame the children for breaking them but it was all my own fault for leaving them on the arm of the sofa and then they fall down and i sit on them and that's how they broke eventually. All my fault!

Leah has a "dress up as a book character" day at school on friday. I was hoping for something easy like Red Riding Hood, or Cinderella, but my daughter wants to be The Very Hungry Caterpillar. Of course. And i've had about 2 months notice about this and naturally it's gotten to 3 days away from this dress up day and i haven't done anything, let alone attempted to make a CATERPILLAR suit! I'm thinking tights, green dye, red hairband with antenna.......anyone has any bright ideas then for goodness sake email me!!!!!!!!!

Off to get glasses now and look in the $2 shop for inspiration. Will leave you with a cute photo i took of Heidi the other day in some pj's that Emma sent for Jenna when she was little - i can't believe she fits into them already! And hello to Emilie ...... thank you for your lovely message, it really made my morning :) Hope you're well and enjoying your time in France xxxx Love to you all xxxx

Hi Jo - hope you don't mind me writing to you but on reading how you like Google Earth I thought I would tell you about another one which is superb for Sussex.
www.local.live.com
you just need to type it in and there is no need to download anything on your PC. It is excellent in Littlehampton and also for Carey in NY. I did check you out in NZ but alas it hasn't reached there properly yet - obviously being updated all the time. Give it a go - you may be lucky and see your old haunts in Sussex.
Lovely to hear all your news -
take care
love Susan x

You poor thing Jo. We have only moved once since we came here and that was enough.
Hope your move goes smoothly, enjoy your new place
