Very sad :(
Feeling exceptionally sad about the death of Steve Irwin; the girls loved his programmes and we used to really enjoy sitting down on a saturday afternoon watching Australia Zoo.....thinking of his family.

The new house is growing on me - it feels very 70s and i have decided to embrace the retro-ness and enjoy my new home. Heidi is loving it; she especially likes being able to go outside on the deck and play with the peg basket :)
My mission today was to clean Heidi's highchair which was emanating a rather foul odour despite being very clean, so i took it outside armed with bleach and boiling water. Somehow, what i suspect could have been a decomposing fishfinger, had gotten trapped in the footrest - HOW it actually got in there, i have no idea because i actually had to unscrew various parts of the highchair to get to it, but take it from me that it was fairly disgusting. If i had one gem of advice for any new parents it would be regarding highchairs. The more flash it is, the more reclining settings it has, the more padding it has, basically the more features it has - the more places there are to wedge food that you will find 2 months later like i did today. Buy a simple, wooden highchair. Gross.
Anyhoo, off to make my stuffed pancakes now - it'll be a while before i can look at another fishfinger...........
