More musings

Some more musings i have......

• Why, when you wake in the middle of the night needing a wee, do you have an hour-long mental battle trying to convince yourself that you don't need a wee and finding it hard to get back to sleep, when in fact if you just got up and had a wee, you could be asleep by now. ( or is that just me?!)

• Why do hairdressers only talk to you when they're blowdrying your hair and you can't hear what they're saying because they're blowing hot air in your ear?
  

• Also on hairdressers.....why do they give you a cup of tea and then put it ever so slightly out of your reach, making you too afraid to reach for it in case you jog them and you end up with a chunk out of your hair? Hmmmmmmm.......

On marathon news, it's still all go. I managed about 7.5 kms last night which is my best so far......just need to be able to do about 6 times that amount and we're away! Have a groin injury from last night though so have to have a couple of days rest ( booo) I know i have the stamina and the drive to do this, i just need to build up my distances without getting injured.

I have my birthday outing all sorted....we're having a big girly night out (there's about 10 of us, and no boys allowed!) to Boogie Wonderland, a 70's/80's themed nightclub in the City and i'm very excited. We have our own individual booth that i have booked and we can have exclusive use of all night providing we all buy at least one cocktail each (NOT a problem!), and we even have our own waitress. My camera is still on the blink but will get a disposable for the night and hopefully post lots of random photos.

Heidi is standing up on her own a lot more but still making absolutely no effort to walk. Her favourite toy at the moment is a plastic baby that is about 1 inch tall and has a knitted nappy. Leah picked it up at a bring and buy sale and now Heidi won't let it out of her sight. Which really makes me realise that it's not really going to matter what Father Christmas brings her if this is the thing she loves most, this piece of plastic tat!
