Beaches and bridges

Sadly, my birthday night outing was postponed until further notice due to illness of a crucial member of the party....so no drunken photos people, sorry.

Instead we have photos of us at the beach ( again !), this time up north at a national park called Wenderholm. Kids were tired and whingy so it wasn't the best outing, but we got some nice pics of us being summery. Heidi discovered today that sand isn't all that nice to eat in large quantities. I remembered how much i hate sandy picnics.

And also, BIG driving news - i drove over Auckland Harbour Bridge today. Not a huge achievement for all of you Auckland-savvy drivers, but for a little old nana learner driver like me, it was a very Big Thing. Am very proud of me - i didn't go careering over the side of the bridge into the harbour like i always imagined i would.
