feeling speedy!

Woohoooooo, the Bergmans are back in the current technological age with Broadband! As a test to see how quick it is, i am going to find a random photo to upload and time how long it takes, bearing in mind that as a comparison, it took 4 minutes per photo on dial up. here goes......


Very impressive, a mere 21 seconds! And for my trouble you get a picture of the kids with red eyes.

Today we have all been to the beach at Orewa with Alicia. I was very brave and went in the sea. Thankfully i was not stung by a jellyfish/eaten by a shark/knocked over by a wave and drowned, which are my usual fears. However, i was given a new Honey Caramel flavoured Cornetto and it was possibly ....no, actually i've decided that it definetly was, THE most revolting ice cream i have ever had the misfortune of eating. It spoiled my day, i tell you.

Adrian has become very excited by a newspaper article he read in the Herald the other day. It seems that the band Crowded House are embarking on a world tour next year, and they're only looking for a drummer, AND holding auditions in Auckland! So he's going to try for an audition....watch this space!

Not sure if i would actually cope without him for a whole year though. I am very upset that after a week of being cooked for and being made to feel like a princess, he is going off fishing for 2 nights with his friends. I don't like being on my own :( Although he did suggest that if he becomes a famous drummer then i could move home for a year. Everyone pray REALLY hard that he gets this!!!!

I went to an Open Day at Manukau Tech yesterday to enquire about doing some foundation study to prepare me for the midwifery degree. As a result, i am now enrolled to do night classes on Mondays and Wednesdays studying Maths, Sciences and Communications for 6 months. Eek.
