Swinging child incident ends in disaster

Just read the English papers online for the morning.....i do hope you're all staying put inside! By comparison we have the absolute opposite weather; very still and sunny. Will send some over.

Meant to write yesterday but i did a very stoooopid thing. I left my glass of wine next to the computer despite constant, lifelong warnings by my father and husband NOT to leave drinks by the computer. Being the very disobedient girl i am, i did exactly that and it all got tipped all over the keyboard in a child-swinging incident (not as barbaric as it sounds) and it has subsequently died. Lesson learned. She says, sitting by the computer with a cup of coffee and nail polish remover! So now this is taking me forever to write on this new keyboard because everything is different.

I want to watch Celebrity Big Brother, i do i do. It's just not the same reading about it. I need some proper trashy tv!

Ah well, another day with very little of consequence to say. Babysitting tonight for friends who are going to The Big Day Out , which is a festival-type thing, which i am sure Carly would be at if she were in NZ and not getting blown around in London. I own Jason Donovan's Greatest Hits on CD and am therefore deemed not cool enough to go. And also am not rich enough to go. Absolutely not my type of thing anyway, so will be sitting at Paddie's reading my Gordon Ramsay book. I'm so middle-aged.

Anyhoo, Adrian has 10 days off work as of tomorrow which i am looking forward to, although Adrian is the King Of Being Anal About Housework, and so there will be no excuse for not doing any housework all day. Gone will be nice things like reading library books and eating ice cream by the paddling pool, and then rushing around like a banshee at 5.30 trying to make it look like i actually was working all day long. I'll actually have to do it as i go along. Hm. I really do hate housework SO much *sigh*

Off to pick up a friend of Leah's now for some afternoon entertainment. I plan on sitting outside by the paddling pool with my book and a big fat ice cream. Being a housewife is goooooooood :)
