Happy Saturday to you all. Mine has been a long one, although slightly less trying than previous days this week.

Adrian is away recording his new album ( wow, that sounds so rock star-ish. I wish it were) in Rotorua. Weekend days are always so much worse days to be alone because you just know everyone else is having great fun, and even if they're not, it still feels like they are because you're feeling a wee bit sulky.

Anyway, today wasn't so bad; we went to the library due to persistent rain. Heidi ran riot as per usual and made me look like a bad mother because i kept forgetting to watch her, and before i'd know it she'd be in the Sociology and Anthropology sections upsetting people by pulling random books off shelves. Completely her fault.

Obviously all that trouble making was very tiring, as she fell asleep in her lunch not long after.....


Then we went to the video shop and spent too much money on New Releases. This afternoon we went for a walk round Panmure Basin and got rained on, but apparently this was the best bit of the day because we found a cool park in the shape of a ship. So i got to sit in a dry cosy 'ship cabin' and listen to the rain, whilst the girls ran around IN the rain shouting "ay ay captain", and "hurricane's a'comin" (been watching the Little Mermaid too much this week!)

This evening i have lit the fire, scoffed some of the kids' Easter eggs that they appear to have forgotten about (not going to get away with that trick for many more years!), and watched some random films.

Tomorrow i have a half day off, so i am going to make the most of being alone :)
