I need my daddy!!

Claire has informed me that she actually lured the (suspected, still not confirmed) rat into the roof while she was staying with us. My feeling is that it may have made an entire nest using Claire's hair that she molted all round my house and is now very comfortable in the roof on a bed of hair. Claire has given me permission to call the rat Claire, so that is what it shall be called from now on.

Although, there has been a mummy bird singing and tweeting outside the kitchen this morning so i'm reeeeeeally hoping it's a baby bird stuck in the eves. Knowing my luck it's the Kirby salesman nesting in the roof!

Sadly being 14000km away from here, dad declined my offer of coming over and saving me by going up into the roof and disposing of Claire the rat. Bizarrely he did ask if i was going to go into the roof and look myself........i REALLY don't think so daddy! That's why i got married! Don't you remember that vow where the priest asks the man if he'll protect his wife forever from rodents, bugs and general scary things?

And the oven broke this morning - what a day! Oh, adrian's going to love me when he gets home from work - should i send him to the oven or the roof first?!

Off to the library for the rest of the day now - i've managed to convince myself that Claire the rat is nibbling her way through the ceiling and will land on my head or pop her head out of a light fitting, so i'm taking refuge somewhere else completely rodent - free.
