Scary Salesman #1

Phew, 31 degrees in Auckland today!! It's nearly 10pm and still so stuffy, it's gross. Unfortunately a very bare pantry necessitated a trip to the supermarket with all 3 kids in tow today, so the big 2 went into the buggy as it was a super-long and very hilly walk and Heidi went in the frontpack - just what i felt like, someone strapped to me in the heat of the sun!!! So needless to say i feel like i've done a super workout today and am feeling very fit, and i'm SURE all the walking i've done today will have completely negated the calorific content of the many chocolate biscuits i just ate whilst watching Oprah.

Heidi had her first shower today!! And loved it, i might add. (Actually, i lie, she did have one with Adrian while we were away camping over Christmas - she was a braver girl than me, i waited till we got home as i was none too keen about using an outdoor shower with cockroaches in. Ewwww.) I managed to get a picture, excuse the hairy back in the foreground, hee hee!

We're getting close to getting that first chuckle from heidi; i thought she chuckled the other day when i was dancing her round the kitchen singing "My Humps" by the Black Eyed Peas; a rather inappropriate song to be singing to someone only 3 months old i realise, but us mothers have to get entertainment from somewhere!

A very VERY wierd thing happened today; a guy came to the front door, he was wearing a full suit and had a briefcase, but he said he was from the Kirby Group and could he come in for some lunch and a cup of tea. I said no, that i was just on my way out, (and who on earth goes door knocking asking for lunch, anyway??) and he kept pressing, could he come back later, how about tomorrow, what about next week? To get him to leave i said come back next week because i was getting flustered and nervous, but now i don't know what to do. He had no ID on him and he was fairly intimidating, so i'm wondering if i should phone Adrian's sister ( Alicia - she's a policewoman ) and ask if she knows about this group.

Ewww, a big bug just jumped through the window and landed on me; think it may be time to go and take refuge in bed! Love and kisses to all xxx
