tea tree woman
Morning all :)
A sunny Sunday morning in Auckland, we've just picked Leah up from her friend Serena's house where she had a sleepover last night, awwww. We went to the cinema with her yesterday and watched Ice Age 2 as a treat. ( i felt so sorry for Jenna!) I was fully expecting to fall asleep but was pleasantly suprised and actually enjoyed the movie. I even refused popcorn, how good am I? Sadly undone that good work last night watching Trinny and Susannah, i had a big hormonal hissy fit at Adrian and demanded ice cream before he went out and left me to play cards with his friends. He came back with a tub of Tiramisu ice cream and i scoffed THE LOT. And went to bed feeling thoroughly sick. How naughty!
On a completely unrelated note, i watched a documentary recently about chemicals in the home and how bad they are. And whereas i refuse to start thinking that "the most dangerous thing we do in a day is have a shower" (because of all the chemicals in shampoo etc), i can see the merit in as few chemicals in the home as possible. So i've been gradually changing the products we use to gentler, more chemical-free thngs. And at a friend's recommendation, i also changed my deodorant to an aluminium-free one. I've been searching for ages and eventually found one in the posh supermarket, an Australian tea tree one. Great, thinks I, and have been revelling in the thought that there are now less nasties in the house and on our bodies. But a big downside to this deodorant is the tea tree part, ie the smell of the stuff. I smell like a huge giant walking bottle of decongestant! Which, as it's almost winter, may be an upside in that i won't have to buy any decongestant, we can all just sniff my armpits! I may keep searching for a nicer scented one.....
Off for lunch at our friend's new house today, in the end we bought them a lovely pizza stone as a housewarming present, one of those things i'd quite like to keep for myself. Adrian's brother and his wife are taking Leah and Jenna out to Devonport over the shore for us so we may actually get to have *shock* an UNINTERRUPTED ADULT CONVERSATION!wooo :)
Well, must dash, Adrian is on a complete high as i've just given him my permission to change the whole house around - his absolute favourite thing to do. We're moving into Heidi's room, Leah and Jenna moving to our room and Heidi into our room, so it's all change and he's super excited. I'd best go help!
TTFN, off to wave my armpits around and relieve some stuffy noses, my good deed for the day! xxx
