Happy Birthday Mum!

A very very VERY happy 50th birthday to my mum :) The best part is that i've been able to say it to her in person this year. For those of you in the know, i am safely home after my long journey. For those of you not in the know, dad and i have been hatching this plan for me to come home as a suprise for mum's birthday for months, and have weaved a tangled and elaborate web of lies. I even lied on here about Anne and Des coming over to England....yep, that was little old me! I said goodbyeto Adrian and the girls on Tuesday morning (NZT) and flew 12 hours to Seoul, where i stayed the night in a rather swanky hotal. Didn't like that bit at ALL; all i could think of was that i was a million miles away from everyone in the world i loved, and i was rather teary.

But, i flew out of there the next day and flew another 12 hours to Heathrow, where i met a VERY suprised mother, who had absolutely no clue whatsoever. I think she's stopped crying just about! It's just so exciting to be home, and very surreal walking round Lancing and Worthing now. Looking forward to doing some serious shopping too :) We're off out to dinner tonight so that may be the perfect excuse to start some of that shopping.

I'm still pretty jet lagged but i'm forcing myself to keep to English times. Oooh, and i guess what i FINALLY got my hands on???! Yes, the humble French Fancy. i have not eaten any yet but i plan to sit down and savour the whole packet.
